C&C Wood Products – Dust Hazard Audit and NFPA Audit

We provided a Dust Hazard Audit (DHA), NFPA Audit, electrical area classification, as-built dust system drawings and duct thicknessing (non-destructive testing) for this remanufactured wood sawmill in Cranbrook BC.

The mill specializes in engineered wood products and uses scraps of dimensional lumber shorter than 8’ in length – the scraps of lumber are then finger jointed and glued to form common dimensional lumber lengths, and multiple sections can be laminated together to form single sections of up to 25’ in length and in solid joist sizes of up to 2”x12” for specialized architectural and clear-span applications.

The sawmill equipment on site includes sorters, bins, planers, chipper fan, PET trimsaws, finger joint cutterheads, gang saws, high speed radio frequency gluers; plus dust collection fan equipment and cyclones.
