Conifex Power – Fire Protection *

Mr. Hutchison acted as the partner-in-charge for the conversion of an existing pulp mill to a 36MW biomass waste-to-power generation facility.  Consulting services provided included detailed fire protection systems design for the steam turbine/generation area, evaporative cooling tower complex, and hog fuel storage building.

All fire protection systems were designed to industrial & FM Global standards, and all fire protection design information was vetted by the Owner’s insurer before construction began.  Plumbing engineering was completed for the control and staff areas of the facility as well as for the packaged sewage treatment system, sewage treatment complex and sewage outfall.
