Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgical Centre *

During commissioning and initial operation of this day-care health care centre, steam system quality, purity and dryness concerns required investigation and resolution.

Mr. Hutchison worked as part of a team to investigate the cause of the steam system’s operational concerns, and a full review of the design, operation, installation and maintenance of the steam system was conducted.  On-site investigative work was completed during business hours where possible, while other on-site review work was completed during non-operational evenings and weekends to avoid disturbing the facility’s operations.  The engineering review team collaborated with the Owner’s team of specialists to trace and identify the source of system contaminants.

A comprehensive set of recommendations were made to rectify the steam system’s operational issues, to bring the steam system to full operational capability.
