Natural Factors Soft Gelatin Capsule Plumbing & HVAC *

Natural Factors is a grower and manufacturer of natural health supplements with manufacturing and warehousing facilities located worldwide.  The Factors Group purchased a former Hiram Walker Distillery and Warehouse of approximately 250,000ft2 and converted the facility to warehousing and manufacturing space for the company.

Mr. Hutchison managed the Mechanical Engineering for the conversion and refit of the facility over several phases, including the solvent extraction, soft gelatin capsule packaging lines (multiple phases), HVAC conversion, steam system upgrade, pure water and plumbing systems upgrade, as well as conversion and updating of the automated warehouse.

The HVAC systems for the manufacturing facilities are food-grade and Health-Canada compliant and the entire project process required a close level of coordination to integrate specialized pieces of manufacturing equipment such as spray desiccant humidifiers, process chillers, evaporative coolers, room dehumidification, gelatin melting equipment and other unique machinery that is used in the manufacturing and packaging of health supplements.
