Red Leaf Water – Compressed Air Piping *

Mr. Hutchison designed the compressed air piping system serving a rotary blow molder that is used to make plastic (PET) water bottles for domestic consumption.

The piping system was designed with 2” and 3” welded TP304L stainless steel piping operating at 515 psig using piping components with 600 psig ratings.  The entire piping system was designed, including air receivers, refrigerated dryers, manifolds, valves etc., and was connected to an owner-supplied 215hp reciprocating 565CFM air compressor.  The piping system design included stress calculations and registration with the BC Boiler & Pressure Vessel Branch / Technical Safety BC.
