UBC Okanagan Campus Skeena & Commons Buildings District Energy Servicing Study

A study examining the technical feasibility and costs of connecting two proposed new facilities totaling 203,000ft2 of occupied area to campus district energy facilities was performed, including an analysis of the cost and space requirements of standalone heating and cooling plants.

Analysis of connecting a total of 10 buildings in the Northeast quadrant of the campus to district energy utilities was included in the technical reporting, as well as a list of any required upgrades to existing campus infrastructure to accommodate the connection of additional facilities to the campus’ two existing district energy systems.
